The Easter Vigil celebrates the glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the triumph of life over death. The traditional ceremonies include the blessing of the new fire and Paschal candle, the ancient prophecies, and the blessing of baptismal water, followed by the Baptism of adult converts and their First Holy Communion as they are received into the sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
