Maundy Thursday commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacred Priesthood at the Last Supper. The solemn liturgy also includes the traditional Washing of the Feet, recalling Our Lord’s humility and His command that His disciples serve one another in charity before entering into the mysteries of His Passion.
