Our Current Situation
By the grace of God, we have grown substantially over the past several years. Since merging Our Lady of Victory with the Shrine of St. Philomena, many new families have joined our church, where the Mass is celebrated as it has been celebrated, uninterrupted throughout the world, for over 1500 years. Today our little church is very old and in need of many expensive repairs. And even with four Masses on Sunday, we simply are no longer able to handle the number of people attending Mass. It is time to build a new home. Please help us with a generous donation that will help realize our goal of building a new church that will bring glory and honor to God for generations to come. Our New Building Project
Bigger Parcel
Also by the grace of God and the prayers of our faithful, friends of Saint Philomena and the sons and daughters of Our Lady of Victory, we were able to purchase a piece of land to build our new church only a short drive from our current location. From our current lot size of 15,937sqft (approx 0.37 acre) to an amazing 8.36 acres lot. Nearly 8 acres bigger than the current property!
Bigger Church
With the purchase of this new lot, we are able to build a new church that will be 8500sqf, a considerable difference from approximately 2000sqft of current church space. The new church will be able to accommodate a much larger congregation as well as choir loft where the traditional Gregorian Chants will be sung. In addition to the Church, 2 adjacent buildings will be built to house the Parish Hall and office space, totaling the building size to 20,975sqft. Parking will accommodate 176 cars, including 6 spaces for electric vehicles.
Perpetual Home of the Traditional Latin Mass
The Traditional Latin Mass has been celebrated in the Catholic Church for over 1500 years and is a timeless and reverent form of Mass. The new church will be a perpetual home for the traditional Latin Mass, where the faithful can come to worship in the way that has been celebrated for centuries. This new shrine of Saint Philomena will be a place of beauty and reverence, where the faithful can come and celebrate Mass in the liturgical heritage of the Catholic Church.
How can you help?
The first and most fundamental way to support us is through prayers and Mass intentions. Thanks to the numerous prayers in our loving community, much has changed since the begining of this journey, nothing short of a miracle. However, we are a small community and we rely on the generosity of benefactors to carry out the building of this new Church in the beautiful Town of Davie, Florida. We are grateful for any donation, no matter how small. However there are ways to donate that would also benefit the benefactor in return.
Foundational Masses
Your contribution of $1000 or more, will inscribe your name in the Book of Foundational Masses. Making it an extraordinary and unique way to connect your intentions with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. These Perpetual Masses, held in the timeless and reverent form of the traditional Latin Rite, offer a unique opportunity to unite our prayers with the liturgical heritage of the Catholic Church. Each Mass is a powerful act of faith, a plea for Saint Philomena's intercession, and a reminder of our communion with the saints in heaven.
