Christ died for each and every person. His blood is shed for each and every person. It just applies to some. We should want that application to be to as many people as possible. We should want his sacrifice to touch as many souls as possible.

That charity, seeking the forgiveness of souls and forgiveness of sins ourselves first, our own sins first, is what must drive us and motivate us.
