Prayer, fellowship, and service

Laity groups bring Catholics together to grow in holiness and assist the work of the parish. Some emphasize a rule of prayer and spiritual formation; others combine prayer with practical service. A ministry is a particular way of helping parish life, such as preparing the chapel, assisting at parish activities, or supporting catechism. These works serve the Church under the guidance of the priests.

Our parish directory describes three examples: the Third Order of the SSPX helps members share in the Society's spiritual life; the Holy Name Society combines reverence for the Sacred Names with works such as ushering and boys' catechism; and the League of Our Lady of Victory unites prayer with assistance to the priests and parish activities. Their individual pages explain each association's purpose.

Begin by reading the descriptions below, then contact the parish about current opportunities and membership. You can also pray the Litany of the Holy Name of Jesus.

League of Our Lady of Victory

This Society is in our community like the two sister-friends of Jesus: Mary and Martha. Mary was inclined to the contemplation while Martha was more inclined to active service. It offers these two types of dedication: prayer and assistance of the priests in multiple tasks.
